Make this summer a healthy season

You definitely want to look after your health no matter what time of year it is, but you might not think of summer as being a time that could really affect it. However, the hot weather, bright sunshine and unhealthy foods that are common during summer can all have an effect on how you feel.

Luckily, there are things you can do to ensure you continue to look and feel great all summer long - even if the kids being off school means you're running around a lot more than usual! Here are some of our top tips to stay healthy until autumn, even if the British summer isn't as warm as we might hope.

Swap your bedding

It can be hard to get to sleep when the weather is hot. You can end up tossing and turning, as well as feeling hot and sticky, which doesn't help you get a good night's rest. Changing your bedding for lighter options can make a big difference.

Get outside

Summer can have an effect on how you feel.

We all need plenty of vitamin D to stay healthy, which means making the most of the sun before autumn and winter arrive. Spend as much time as you can outside, even if it isn't brilliantly sunny, as this will improve both your physical and mental health.

Make time to relax
