National recognition for Heyland & Whittle

Here at Heyland & Whittle, we strive to provide the best possible customer service and it really is wonderful to read some of the testimonials we receive from happy customers.

However, we have also been getting some fantastic recognition lately from our industry and retail sector and we wanted to share some of it with you so that you can see just how much work goes into developing the products you see on our website and in stores today.

The Giftware Association 

Firstly, at a special ceremony at the NEC earlier this year, we won the Giftware Association's prestigious gift of the year prize with our Mini Reed Diffuser and Votive Candle Gift Set. We also ranked highly commended in both the Body, Bath and Spa and Made in UK categories with our innovative Soap Books.

Chief executive of the GA Isabel Martinson said: "Gift of the Year goes from strength to strength in terms of the level and quality of entries.  We would like to pay tribute to all the suppliers and designers who have once again raised the bar and given our judges a particularly difficult task."

Needless to say, we were thrilled to be recognised in such a renowned prize-giving and we'll be giving the award pride of place on our mantelpiece.

It's also lovely to hear that two of our products are appreciated as much as we hoped they'd be; the diffuser and candle set is aimed at providing the perfect present (or treat for yourself, of course) when you want to demonstrate a really heartfelt sentiment - whether it's a thank-you or a Mother's Day wish - and will last ages, as well as looking wonderful in any room.

Meanwhile, the Soap Books are a great introduction to H&W and ideal when you want a really decent gift but don't want to break the bank.

Chelsea Flower Show

We may need a bigger mantelpiece!

That wasn't the only award we received during this year though - we were also tremendously proud to be given the nod at Chelsea Flower Show for producing a five-star retail stand, particularly since the judges are famously tough.

We have been getting praise for our retail stands from shoppers for some time because we pay them the same attention to detail as we do our products, but it's the icing on the cake to find that the organisers like them too.

Our aim is to make you feel as though you've stumbled across a stately home's orangery that just happens to be stocked with H&W products, which we do by bringing along clematis plants and pristine white display cabinets as well as our famous candles and soaps - come along to a show if you want to see what we mean first-hand! 

We won't rest on our laurels

Hopefully, this has given you a little glimpse into the world of 'behind the scenes at H&W', but we also wanted assure you that we're not planning on simply basking in the glory of these awards. Instead, we're going to continue innovating so that we can stick to our primary goal: creating outstanding natural products brimming with tradition and style.

All our stock is handmade and expertly finished using essential oils, herbs and spices and it's as natural as we can possibly make it - after all, our family crest is our logo so we're always accountable for what we make.

We also try to stay ahead of our game by coming up with new fragrances all the time, such as the Jasmine & Lilac scent we brought in especially for summer. Add to that a commitment to provide great prices and a safe internet shopping experience and you've got a family-based company that  we think could rival any of the global brands for quality.
